SKIN, FLAKEY SCALEY PATCHES submitted by SAE on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, 12:23:36

What The Doctor Didn't Tell Me

For several years I've had two patches of flakey, scaley skin on my forhead. The doctor said it was some type of condition like dandruff and over the years prescribed two medications, one with cortizone, neither helped. Later he tried removing them. They returned. Meanwhile I tried just about every lotion and potion for the skin I could find including dandruff shampoo. Nothing helped.

What I Discovered

I read a tip in the newspaper that putting Pepto Bismal on dry, flakey skin can help. So I tried that and at last the two patches are gone! If it feels like they're coming back I put it on again and it doesn't return.
